As an website owner, you might be interested to know more about where people come from. Now that the Google search feature "Your Location" is being automatically set for most users, you would also want to know how your search queries rank among your competitors and local websites with people actually searching from that area to find people free. The White House is working on a new idea to allow people to use a single profile for all websites they visit called the "National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace". Anyone can do that now with OpenID and other private providers but many don't; either due to poor promotion or interest. To get the public to fall in line with this new initiative, all it's going to take is the proper motivation. The average user is susceptible to manipulation, with the right approach, people will decide for themselves "I have to do this" or "I have to get mine".There are different opinions on the use of this new source of information.
